PIED
pi//pi

This mutation can be produced in any color combination - several colors are pictured below. The body (skin) of a PIED bird is always white - splashed with another color. PIED is not a "combination" of white and another color, but an entirely separate mutation. Young juveniles are "grizzled" or streaked in coloration (see pics). Bill is light to light with dark tipped to black (see below for possible bill colorations). Eye color is dark (looks black); since 2000 I have seen 4 Pieds which have one or both "colored irises ". Neck ring can be full, broken or nonexistent. Hatchling "pied" are pink skinned with light to dark splotches on upper rump; except for the Bulleyed White hatchlings. (see pics under Hatchling Comparison for a typical pied hatchling).
Pattern Pied - may not be a current mutant but producing such "patterned" birds is quite possible. Selective breeding must be strictly followed & remember the new Pattern must be repeated for at least three generations with very little deviation from the original "pattern" you want.
