The color of this bird is the same as Tangerine, except that there are white feathers edged or tipped with tangerine on the wing shields, back, rump and tail feathers, giving a pearled effect. This pearling is a result of a single dose of the modifier gene (M//+) which works only on the tangerine gene. The flights and neck ring are white. The head, neck and breast are violet. Eye color as in Tangerine. Bill can be light colored with darker tip or completely dark. Note: the "Tangerine" eye color is found in combination colors with Tangerine or Orange.
