BLOND
dB//
(also known as Fawn)

This bird is a sandy brown color on the body, tail and head. The neck ring is black, edged with white. The eye color is red/orange. Hatchling eye ball color (under the skin) is dark. Flight feathers are diluted. Undertail bar black. Bill back. Legs & feet dark purple red. There can shade color variations within this color, from light to dark. The light phase is usually a facet of the "white gene" being hidden (only in males though).  In dove genetics this mutant is referred to as "dilute" and is sex-linked. Blond is the "dilute" of wild type.
