SILVER WHITE TAIL

Should have a solid white colored  rump & all white tail feathers. Some White Tailed Diamond Doves show a dark or shaded tip on the two central tail feathers. The "white rumped & white tailed" genes affect the ground (body) coloration of the birds. The wing spots can be enlarged or elongated or barred (as in the bird in the above picture). Many times the SWR & BWR are confused with each other, because of the affected body coloration. Knowing the shading & coloration differences in the primary flight feathers can identify the mutation you have. See the "open wing" comparison pictures to help determine the mutation.
