Marquesan Ground-dove
Gallicolumba rubescens

Justification

This ground-dove is among the least studied of the Polynesian columbids. It qualifies as Endangered because it has an extremely small population and is at risk from the introduction of predators, especially cats, to the two small islands where it continues to survive.
